Tuesday is the DAY.
Our lives are about to change forever. Wow. Tomorrow morning at about 6 a.m. we are going to pick up the birthmother and go to the hospital for her labor to be induced. She was feeling good a little bit ago when Aaron spoke with her. Kim was driving to the hotel closer to where the birthmother lives. We appreciate ALL of the thoughts and prayers that will be going up on behalf of the "little Mac". If all goes well, the Babe (our neice Ali refers to infants as this) will be released from the hospital on Christmas Day!!! Gifts like this don't come around all the time. Better yet, this is the greatest Christmas present EVER!!! God Bless us everyone!!!!

Still waiting!!! No baby yet! I spoke with the birthmother this afternoon and she said that she was feeling good….just enjoying my birthday doing things that I love….went for a bicycle ride, baked and decorated Christmas cookies and am now watching the Steelers play……I received several texts and phone calls today, so thank you for the happy wishes on my special day....

A little bit about Baby Mac.

Welcome! We’re so glad to have you here with us! You might be wondering about the title of this blog, so we want to explain it to you a little further…..so here goes:
When we told Kim’s dad about our adoption, he was really excited! Throughout this process (and trust us it is a process), Paul kept referring to the baby as “Baby Macaroni”. He did this as a tribute to Aaron’s Italian heritage and the amazing pasta leftovers he would always get after Aaron’s family gatherings. During our early Christmas celebration this year with Kim’s family, our niece Aisy heard Paul refer to the baby as Macaroni, so she used her “gifting” and shortened the name to Baby Mac (f.y.i. Kim s name is Aki and Aaron’s is Boo)….. Well, it has stuck and we love it. The baby’s name however will not be Mac, but definitely will be one of those lasting names!
Well, we are on Baby Watch for the time being…..if the birthmother does not go into labor in the next day or two, she will be induced on Tuesday morning. We’ll keep you posted on any further developments!
